PERIOD 1 TUESDAY 11/24

Create a story that is 26 sentences long. Each sentence must begin with a consecutive letter of the alphabet. You do not have to start with "A". Do this in WORD and then cut/paste it into this blog. Give your story a title and sign your name at the bottom. AVOID simple sentences such as: Alvin had a party. Bill came. Charlie brought chips. Dylan brought soda. Edward Cullen showed up and bit everybody.

  1. Zed stepped out into his garage in an early October morning, the quiet anticipation of a joy ride on his chopper sit atop his unshaven upper lip. Accustomed to early morning weekend rides he had been for over a decade since he owned his motorcycle. “Better wear my leather jacket,” he thought. Chaps too. Donned his helmet as he slid onto the chopper and thrust the kick start pedal down with a roar. “Exhilarating,” he thought to himself. Four times he revved the gas as the exhaust filled up his garage. Garage door up and off he went into the early morning fog. Hell’s Angels was emblazoned across the back of his jacket. If Zed felt at home anywhere, it was on his chopper where the wheels and road are one. Jersey was the perfect place for a joy ride with its lonely roads and endless fields. Kingpin’s Grille was his destination as his hunger fought with his stomach. Lima beans, eggs benedict and a pot of coffee was his usual. Many years he had been coming to this Grille for the best food in town. Never had he seen what awaited him inside. “O, excuse me,” Zed said to the thief who held the cashier at gunpoint. Perspiration ran down the thief’s face so you could tell he had never done this before. Queer coincidence it was that he wouldn’t live to ever do it again. Right as the cashier handed the thief the bag of money, Zed threw a punch that knocked the thief over the counter and into tomorrow.

  2. At the house I herd a ghost. Between the walls he was. Casper the ghost was here. Downstairs my friends were scared. Everyone wanted the ghost to leave. Finally Casper came out. “Good” someone said it is just a Casper. “Hold on” Casper said. “I know other ghosts are here and they are not as nice as me. Just as Casper spoke the lights flickered. Kelly screamed. Lights went out and never came on. Many ghost all came out. No one moved we were so scared. Open the doors and windows maybe they will leave. Put you jackets on. Quick follow me. Repeated I said follow me. Stay behind me in a line. Slowly were trying to leave the house. Trapped the door closed in front of us. Upon the floor I felt something move. Very quietly I screamed. What are we going to do? Xylophones were playing. Yelling was the last thing to do. Zebras rammed the door and we were free at last.

  3. Fourscore and 7 months ago live a very relaxed man. George had no worries in life. He would let all things just pass by and would not get involved. “I shall not get involved in non-sense happening at work”. Just arriving at work, about to pull into his favorite spot, George notices a car in his spot. “Kill you I shall for taking my spot, this will no be settled with you alive”. Lester the man who took George’s spot stepped out of his car to come face-to-face with George. Many people had known Lester to be the work bully but George did not know this information. Not only was Lester angry now, but also he was very husky to begin with, which did not help George. “Oh no” shouted George as Lester approached him with a clenched fist. “Please don’t hit me you can have the spot” George once again stated. Quinton, George’s best friend, happened to be pulling into the lot while this brawl was about to begin. “Really, Is this happening right now” Why don’t we show some peace, love, and happiness.” Suddenly George felt like there was no reason to be mad since he and Lester both had parking spots. The two walked into work talking about how childish they were just acting. Usually George and Quinton go out to Chili’s for lunch but George wanted to bring Lester. Vernon, the office joke walked up to the trio and said they were not allowed to leave. “Why” asked George who did not care what he had to say anyway. Xylophones began to play as a musical number began to start. “Yes, my favorite song” yelled Lester as all the guys began to dance. Zebras appeared and began dancing with everyone as they took over the song. As soon as it had begun the musical number was over. By singing and dancing the guys did not realize they had wasted their entire lunch break. Crying in the corner George, Lester, and Quinton upset having missed their lunch. Dedicated to the cause they ran out of the building and into chili’s. Eating everything they could the guys finish the meal with such delight they went home instead of back to work.

“Marissa, if you play with fire you’re going to get burned.”
“No mom, I know what I’m doing mind your own business.”
“Oh my gosh you are just like your father! Please, give me a break! Queen Mia doesn’t know everything. Really, you are only 16 and you need to relax, you’re going to regret having so much on your plate!”
Sunday morning, after telling my mom I was going to take up a job and 2 sports, she freaked. Telling me that I was going to be worn down, exhausted, and wouldn’t be able to put all my effort into everything I was doing including school. Under all of my pride, I knew somewhere and somehow she was right.
Valentine’s day was coming up and I had no idea what to get my special someone on top of all this stress. What was I going to get him? “Xoxo,” he just texted me. Yikes, as if I didn’t have any more to worry about. Zanily, I decided to get my loved ones valentines candy before finishing my homework, I even skipped both practices today. All this shopping and getting nice things for people really relieved my stress. Believe me, If you had a mother who was going against what you were doing, SAT’s to study for, and two sports to go to every day, you would be relieved of stress by shopping too. Call me crazy, and I might agree.
Down the escalator I had to go with bags upon bags in my hands, then I tripped. Every part of my body hit a step. Fractured ribs, broken right left, broken collar bone, and a torn shoulder. “Golly gee,” a woman exclaimed. Hurting everywhere left and right for 2 weeks straight, I was sort of relieved to get a break from everything and just have some time to myself staring at the hospital wall. I felt new after 2 months of therapy, and the best part was, it was now summer. Just like that, everything was over. Killing myself over getting everything done. Looks like my mother was right, I couldn’t handle it, and look where I ended up.

  6. Tomorrow was Felix’s birthday. Unbeknownst to him, a surprise party was being planned in his honor. Very excited for the party, Brooke was trying to find the perfect gift for Felix. When she saw the new iPod, she knew that was what Felix definitely wanted. Xylophone solos downloaded onto it would be the perfect addition to make the iPod unique for Felix. Yes, others at the party would be confused, but it would be her and Felix’s inside joke. Zebra print on the case of the iPod was more what Brooke wanted than Felix but she could just buy it from herself in the mean time. Always looking to make the party pumping, Brooke decided that she would add more songs to the iPod so that she could play throughout the party. Besides an iPod though, she also needed a speaker system, so that meant she needed to go shopping again.
Chilling in his room, Felix wondered if anyone would remember that his birthday was tomorrow because everyone seemed to be avoiding him. Dessert smells wafted up to his room from downstairs, but it only made Felix disappointed that he was being baked a cake. Ever since he was little, Felix’s favorite food was an ice cream sundae. Frustrated that even his family seemed to be forgetting about what he really wanted, Felix ran away. Getting down from his third story window was the first obstacle in Felix’s way of escape. Hidden by the large ivy climbing up his house, Felix’s only problem was how he would use it to get down.
Inside his house, Felix’s mother was purposely making a cake so that Felix would never suspect and go in search of the larger cartons of ice cream sitting in the basement. Just as she was about to move all the ice cream into the freezer, she heard a large crash.
Kicking his way out of the thorn bush he had accidentally jumped into, Felix hoped no one had noticed his large crash to earth. Leaping up to avoid what he could now recognize as his mother’s footsteps and calls of his names. Many obstacles still lay ahead though to find someone who really cared that he was turning a year older. No one seemed to know at school so Felix decided to start at the mall in order to find people that seemed to be avoiding him. Open to the prospect of leaving his town all together, Felix decided to see if anyone was hanging out and wanted him to join. Perusing through the mall in search no of things to buy but people to see, Felix suddenly recognized the backside of a brunette’s head. Quintessential to Brooke’s expensive lifestyle, of course Brooke would be shopping at the mall. Rapidly, Felix called out her name but as she turned around, he saw that rather than be happy to see him, she looked embarrassed as her many shopping bags revealed that she was probably buying for him with her “Xylophones R U” and “Sundae Sundays” store bags and he realized he had just ruined the surprise.

  8. Waking up on Tuesday morning was not an easy task for Maria because she was up all night studying. Xerus, her “pet” squirrel, who she often saw on her window pan outside, was in his regular spot and she smiled as he nibbled on his acorns. “Your breakfast is ready,” her mother called from downstairs. Zipped down the steps and grabbed her toast and rushed out the door for school. Anything could happen today because was a new day. Boys and girls crowded the hallways around her locker and she maneuvered through them until she finally got to her locker. Combination on her lock was entered and she opened her locker and retrieved all her books out. Dazed and out of it, she closed her locker. Easy on the eye, Roberto stood behind her locker door with a rose at hand. Flustered with embarrassment, Maria started to blush. “Go with me to semi, please?” He asked sweetly. “I would love to go with you,” she replied quickly. Jubilantly she ran to her class to show off her rose to her best friends. Kids started to get jealous of the cute way that she was asked, but Maria could careless about what they thought. Laughing at everything during the school day, she was just so anxious she could not contain herself. More and more people started to hear about her morning, so she was happier each time she had to tell the story. Now that the day started winding down, she packed up her things and went on her way home. Opening the door, she was greeted by her mother. “Please tell me about you day sweetie,” she proclaimed. Quiet and shy now, she held back and she went upstairs until dinner was finished. Ready to tell her story at the dinner table now, she began. “So,” she started out, “I went to my locker this morning…” The attention was held on her the entire time that she told the story, and he mother’s face broke a sweet innocent smile. Unfortunately, she finished her story quickly, and she could not express how excited she actually felt. Very satisfied with her day she sat back in her chair to try and absorb everything that happened, and as she recalled she smiled to herself.

  9. A beautiful day is a wonderful day to take a walk, I thought. Before I went for a walk in the park I had to grab my jacket because it is getting chilly out, for it is October. Climbing down the stairs I began my journey. Down the road I walked and I didn’t know I would not return until the next day. Every step I took brought me closer and closer to my past. Following the path through the park I saw an intriguing path and, being as curious as I was, I followed the path. Going down the path into the woods it became harder and harder to see as the trees became thicker. Hopefully I wouldn’t get lost, I was determined to find out what was at the end of this path. Incase I did get lost I had brought my flashlight and compass because I always looked for an adventure. Just as I thought there was nothing I saw a small cottage. Keeping a small distance from the house I observed, trying to find out if anyone lived in this house. Looking I saw that there was a light on in the house and started toward the cottage. My hand knocked on the front door and a little old lady opened up, she seemed to be expecting me. No words came out of her mouth; she just pointed me inside and I walked into a very cozy cottage with a fireplace. Opening up the oven the little old lady served me cookies and hot chocolate to warm me up. Paintings were hung all around the cottage and they reminded me of something, they reminded me of my childhood. Quietly I got up and looked at them, even though I didn’t think I knew this woman I felt very safe in her company. Rapidly she began to tell me the story of my past; I didn’t understand how she knew. Soon she was telling me about how I was her grand daughter, even though I was always told that my grand mother died in a car accident. Terrified I told her this and she said this was all a lie, I was not allowed to know about her because she was a witch and little children couldn’t be trusted with secrets like this. Unbelieving I began to leave but she stopped me and asked me how then would she have known that I was coming and who I was. Very interested I sat back down and ate another cookie. When she told me the whole story of my past I believed her, something about the story made me know it was true. Xylophones began to play in the background but no one turned them on. Yonder my house lay waiting for me, I explained to my grandmother, but I would be back very soon. Zig zagging back on the path to my house I realized I had so many questions and I would return tomorrow to my grandmother’s house and get to know her, and what I missed in my childhood.

  10. A beautiful flower by the name of Joshypoo rested in the garden of Beautiful Flowers. Big luscious flowers were the only flowers that this garden contained, but none were as pretty as the great Joshypoo. Captain of the flowers and the swim team Joshypoo was. Daffodils and Dalila's were his greatest fans, Joshypoo pulled in all the ladies. Even the extravagant daisy thought very fondly of him. For he was the prettiest flower of them all. Girls came and went for Joshypoo but he still could not find a true lover. His morale was very low when he did not have a lady, so his fellow bros threw him party to find a him a companion. Insanely everyone came and it was quiet the festival. Joshypoo got to meet every girl and decide who were the top three. Julie, Monica, and Ik were the top three. Killing them blogs the flowers were, reading and tweeting about the top three. Luckily Joshypoo was guaranteed a date with all of them.

  11. What kind of world do we live in? Xylophones are selling like hot cakes, and the Oakland Raiders won the Superbowl. Yolanda dropped out of High School at the age of 14 to pursue a singing career. Zimbabwean tourists we’re making fun of her in their native tongue, because Yolanda was tone def. After being ridiculed by random people on the street, she moved to Yugoslavia to live with family. Before she could get to the airport, she needed to stop for food. Cluttered with thoughts of doubt in her abilities, she approached a street vendor. “Do you have anymore pretzels?” she asked in a low somber voice. Ending her quest for pretzels was a crowd of people in front of an unassuming office building. “First 10,000 accepted” was on a sign outside. Glad she had not gone to the airport; she got in line for what she found out was American Idol. Hours of waiting in the pouring rain, blistering sun, and freezing blizzards, she finally reached her turn to sing. “I want you back” by the Jackson 5 was going to be her ticket to stardom. Jovial at her opportunity to be a star she nervously started singing. Kicking her feet and dancing around, she gave a wonderful performance. Loving every second of it she gave all of her skills to the judges. Mindful of the lyrics she saved herself from making a fatal mistake. Nobody could stop her from making it big on the hit T.V. show. Opportunity was right in front of her as the judges made their decisions. Pacing back and forth she waits for what seemed like hours. Questioning by the judges was horrific until she found out she had made it. “REALLY?!?!??!!?!??!??!??!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. Shouting expletives that filled the building she was as happy as could be. The entire country would be behind the tone def Yugoslavian girl who dropped out of High School. Ukeleles would be used in her performances, as it was her favorite instrument. Vanity awaits the def American Idol.

  12. Andrew climbed up the fire escape and into the open window of the crumbling Brooklyn apartment. Basically, he did this every night. Colby, the man he worked for, assigned him to do the harder jobs because he was the youngest of all his “employees”. During the day, Andrew was an ordinary fifteen-year-old kid. Every night, he was at a new location somewhere in New York, stealing money from the shady businessmen that had done Colby wrong. Farther down the street, there was an escape car waiting, just in case an alarm went off. Getting into the buildings wasn’t usually as easy as it was tonight. He usually didn’t climb through an open window. It took a little more skill than that most times. Jake, the man Andrew was currently stealing from apparently wasn’t very smart. Keys, Jake’s house keys, Andrew assumed, sat on the coffee table, further confirming that Jake wasn’t the brightest bulb in the bunch. Learn the hard way, Andrew thought to himself before throwing the keys out the window he had just come through. Most of the time, the money Andrew was stealing was hiding somewhere. Now, the money sat conspicuously in the middle of the small room, poorly hidden in an open black brief case.

A group of kids were experimenting on a raccoon one night.
Better yet they were examining this pig to see if it had rabies.
“Check his mouth for signs of excess mucous” they found a name tag under his shirt.
“Dan Dipinson, that is his name”. His leg started to move.
“Everyone get back a boy named igloo said.”
Forgetting that the man could be still alive the jumped back instantly.
God would see this man soon. There was little hope for his survival.
How could someone ever get bitten by a rabid rat.
In the room next door we tried to calm him down with a shot that would put him to sleep
“Just close your eyes, this will only take a second” Max said. The man started jumping uncontrollably. His eyes rolled back in the back of his head. They were looking up his background information
“Kanton, Illionois, that where this man lives. He must have been traveling for days. Andrew said.
Little did they know he has been living here for several years.
“move his body into a better bed. We need to keep him comfortable”. Simon said.
Now they were working rapidly because they had little time. They show him shaking more . his hallucinations were worsening.
“out of the room professor. i don’t want you to see this.
Pressing on his ribs the wanted to see if he could even feel pain anymore.
“Question, Sir but should we really be doing this.
Reading the manual doctor Jane Luis wasn’t sure either if this was the way to see if he could feel pain anymore.
“Start by making him as comfortable as possible. Give him more comfortable pillows” The doctor said.
Too much time it would take for this to happen, he had very limited time.
Under the bed was a little cat. the cat had a name tag
“ Vance unusual name for a cat.” Kim said.
Water was used to wash this man’s body. Since he hadn’t taken a show in days.
“x-rays, lets find out what’s wrong with his body. How many bones couldn’t be broken from his journey to Pennsylvania. Three hours later he died
Years went by and they still never found out how this man died.
Zoo’s had to shut down because people were not going to visit anymore because they were scared any animal could have rabies.

  14. After a long day at work, Rachel decided to relax. Batman was her favorite show, so she decided to sit down and watch it. Coincidently, her favorite show was on right afterwards. Daylight peered its head through the window which made Rachel realize she had actually overslept. Even though she was very late for work, Rachel got it together and made it just before the building was locked up. Frantically, Rachel ran up the stairs like a madwoman. Getting there before she was too late still made her feel relieved. Having a job that was so far away from her house was a problem however. Incase she got to the point of quitting, Rachel needed to find a backup job. Job-hunting was a very difficult task because many other people were looking for jobs too. Kangaroos always interested Rachel, so she went to the zoo to see if she would be able to work there. Later on when she got home, she decided that she was going to transfer her job to the zoo. Money was not an issue to her because she cared more about that job itself and how it made her happy. Nobody at her old job seemed to care about her leaving. Over the course of a few days, Rachel was thrilled about her new job working at the zoo. Picking the zoo over her other job was the best decision she had ever made. Questioning her thoughts was not an issue at this point. Realizing her love of animals, Rachel started to pets at home. Some of these animals would not typically live in a house though. They should have stayed in the zoo because they are not domesticated, but Rachel wanted them in her house anyway. Under her house, Rachel built a mini-zoo for her new pets. Various people knew about her home being infested with all kinds of animals. Whether they liked it or not, Rachel was going to keep the animals at her house and take care of them. Xeric land was best for her animals, so she adapted to make things more comfortable for them. Yielding to anything else would be a detriment to her dreams. Zoology was her true calling.

  15. It was a beautiful, brisk morning and the autumn season was at its peak. Joella decided she should take her German shepherd, Riley for a walk around the neighborhood. Kerrington Ave. was the first road she turned onto, and it was her favorite. Laden with colorful fallen leaves, the ground crunched under her feet. Maple, hemlock, and oak trees all lined the wide street.
Not worried about lingering too long, Joella slowly continued down the street, taking in the fresh, crisp air and the beautiful colors of fall. Other than a few squirrels scurrying up the trees, she and her dog were the only ones on the street. Pools of rainwater still sat on the sidewalk.
“Quite a peaceful walk this has become,” thought Joella. “Riley certainly seems to enjoy it too.”
Suddenly, a grey cat jumped down from a tree above, and landed in front of them. The unexpected appearance caused Rover to bark incessantly, and the large German shepherd took off after the cat, dragging Joella along with him.
Unsure of what to do, Joella did her best to hold on. Violently sprinting across the sidewalk, Riley finally came to a stop in front of large oak tree, up which the cat had climbed. Whining loudly, Riley jumped up, putting his paws against the large trunk of tree.
“Xavier!” yelled a voice from behind them. “You get down here, right now mister,” it continued.
Zooming past Joella and Riley, the grey cat ran to its owner. After turning around, Joella saw a young girl, who looked to be about her age, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and freckles.
“Bailee?” Joella quietly questioned. Controlling her growing excitement, she leaned forward. “Do you remember me?” she asked.
“Ella!” the girl exclaimed, her face full of recognition.
For nine years now, the two girls had been pen pals, sending letters, poems, drawings, and school pictures - so that each could know what the other looked like. Grinning with excitement, they both hugged, and Bailee began to tell Joella about how her family had just moved to the neighborhood. Hand in hand, with Riley and Xavier following closely behind, the two girls walked back down the tree lined street and began to pick up where their letters had left off.

  16. I never really thought about the consequences since truthfully I never figured there would be any. Just because I did something so terribly wrong that I do not want to mention does not mean I deserve an even more vicious consequence. Karma may be the cause of my misfortunes, but this may have just been my fate from the get-go. Late one night after trying to get rid of the evidence of the deadly deed I had committed I did not notice that someone was following me. My eyes finally caught a glimpse of the man following me and he was carrying something that did not have a friendly shape. Not thinking clearly, I turned into an alleyway that had a deep dark dead end. Obviously as you may have already predicted the man followed in behind me and I was trapped.
    “Please don’t hurt me.”
“Quiet!” Roared the man. “So you thought you could take away my brother from this world and get away with it?”
    “That was your brother?
    “Uh huh.”
“Vince just told me I had to take out some guy I didn’t know he had family! What do you want me to do?”
    “X’s”
“You want me to have x’s whatever you name is?”
“Zacks my names and by the end of this week you’ll have x’s over your eyes and don’t worry the gun in my hand isn’t loaded yet.” And with that, Zack walked away leaving me frozen in fear.
Before I go on any further I want you to know that I quit my job as hitman the next day. Can it really be fair for someone to kill me just because I was doing my job? During the entire week I walked around with eyes in the back of my head. Everyday I woke up screaming from a dream where Zack was attacking me. Finally the end of the week came and there was a knock on the door. Greg my mail man handed me a letter which read turn around. He was there he look angry and I now realized the object that I was in his hand earlier was a gun that was not loaded before, but now was.

A short time ago, LuLing decided to throw a party. Boo Radley was invited, and surprisingly, he showed up. Cautiously, LuLing took his hat and brought him into the living room and offered him a glass of punch. Doorbell rang, and she graciously excused herself from the socially awkward man’s presence. “’Ello,” Pi said. Frankly, he was about a million times more awkward then Boo, because he had just spent a very long time alone on an island. “Good to see you LuLing,” he said before he joined Boo in the other room. “Hello,” Precious Auntie sang as LuLing opened the door. “In my house, Precious Auntie?!” Joyfully, she gave her very missed aunt a hug. Killed was how the girls found Pi in the living room, because Boo often kills people when he feels in danger. Lamely excusing himself, Boo ran out of the house. “Move the body before it gets weird,” LuLing told her aunt. Nevertheless, the doorbell rang again. Opening the door, it was discovered that Atticus was at the door. “Party hostess extraordinaire, you are. Quadrilaterals even know it’s important for even the greatest American lit hero to take a break.” Regaining composure, LuLing was surprised by his confidence but then sat with him in the other room with Precious Auntie and Pi’s body. “Surely I could remove that for you,” Atticus said of the body. The women were grateful when he took the corpse with him and left. Unlucky fate for sure, the doorbell rang again. “Very nice to see you again.” When Okonkwo walked in he said this. Xenophobic tribal leader of Africa, he suddenly felt very afraid and threatened by the Asian women so he ran out of the house. “You are a very strange person.” Zealously she shut the door and went back to the party

A long time ago there was a boy named Ginger who loved to play drums. But before i tell you that story, Ginger was a small little boy who loved to eat. Chop suey was his favorite food. Downtown was his favorite place because their were so many fascinating places to eat. Expecting to enjoy some amazing food, Ginger went downtown. Feeling jolly, he knew that nothing could ruin this day. Ginger finally arrived to his restaurant; it was called Asians Finest. However, from his bad luck, the restaurant was closed. Inside his heart he felt this terrible pain breaking him apart because he loved to eat and one of his favorite restaurants was closed. Jack, his best friend, walked by and Ginger was happy again. Kangaro's Kingdom is where they both decided to eat together. Lola, the waitress, happily greeted them as they enetered the restaurant. Meat from the kangaroo's belly is what the waitress suggested. Not wanting to eat that, Jack got some steaks. Of course, Ginger, loving to eat, decided to try that. Pretty good he thought as he took his first bite of his steak. Questionable if it was better than the steaks his mother makes. Realizing that it was better, he decided to buy another one and pack it. Surprisingly, when he reheated it and it, it was just as good as the first. To his full stomach he decided to watch tv. Uttering at the tv for the terrible shows that were on, he decided to go to the bathroom. Veering through the halls he heard something. Wondering what it could be he decided to go explore. X-ing out in his mind all the things that it could be, he went straight for his room. Yarely, Ginger flung the door wide open. Zebras suddenly started to fly out of his room; waking up to realize that it was all a dream.
